Restoration

In our kitchens, bakery, and cafés, which together form the Foundation's food service hub, our employees in supported employment participate in food preparation and service, adopting a socially responsible approach . True to our commitment to sustainable business practices, the caterer in Aigues-Vertes, the bakery, and the village cafés on Rue de la Terrassière and Rue Michelle-Nicod source their ingredients primarily from local producers and our own market gardeners, prioritizing fresh, organic produce in their flavorful, entirely handmade creations. These same commitments lead us to offer only reusable or compostable containers. Finally, these workshops provide numerous training opportunities in the food industry, enabling those with a passion for it to acquire the necessary skills and put them to use serving our Geneva clientele.

Agricultural

Along the banks of the Rhône and in the surrounding hills, the agricultural teams cultivate the land to get the best from it . And the best results in seedlings and vegetables, meat and eggs, all certified by BioSuisse and Genève Région Terre Avenir (GRTA). These products, grown since the village's inception with a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach, are used in the preparation of the meals that the beneficiaries consume every day.

They are also offered for sale to our restaurant partners in the canton of Geneva, as well as to the local population through Aigues-Vertes' presence at farmers' markets. Finally, this activity provides fertile ground for beneficiaries to train in agricultural professions.

Craftsmanship

The artisans' center houses ceramics and pottery workshops . The finished pieces are offered for sale at events organized in the village and in our shops in Aigues-Vertes and Geneva. These workshops allow participants to develop their professional skills in a supportive environment. The carpentry workshop assists you with your orders, from taking measurements to installation at your home. Drawing on expertise cultivated since the Foundation's inception, our employees in supported employment programs are dedicated to bringing to life the wishes of our Geneva clientele.

Day care and occupational activities

The day care program aims to enhance the abilities of its participants through occupational activities, in order to maintain their skills, promote learning, and ensure their well-being . It is comprised of the following components:

  • The Activity Spaces aim to maintain the social connections of the beneficiaries by offering creative and recreational activities, such as painting, papier-mâché, decorations, and games. Support is also provided around themes such as sharing, body expression, sensory exploration, dance, music, and outings – swimming, walking, cultural visits.

  • The Multipurpose Space produces firelighters and hand-poured, decorated candles, the containers of which are made by our ceramics workshop. This space also offers a direct mail service for businesses.
