Welcome to the Aigues-Vertes Foundation!
Since its creation in 1961, the Aigues-Vertes Foundation has supported adults living with intellectual disabilities so that they can be as autonomous as possible, thrive in their daily lives (education, work, leisure, socialization, civic life) and live a simply "ordinary" life.
The Foundation's unique setting, a village on the banks of the Rhône in the Geneva countryside, the quality of its infrastructure, its educational vision based on kindness and respect, and the excellence of its human skills are the pillars that allow the implementation of the Personal Development Project tailored to each beneficiary.
With its ambition to be a model of social integration, the Foundation also actively stimulates collective reflection on the place and resources allocated to intellectual disability in society.
By placing the excellence of resources at the service of the development of beneficiaries, the Foundation wishes to capitalize on its educational expertise to maintain the dynamic of institutional evolution and to adapt it ever more to the framework of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Thanks to these constant efforts and this inclusive approach to disability, beautiful, perfectly ordinary stories unfold every day at the Aigues-Vertes Foundation. What could be more extraordinary than these stories!
